Chapter 2 – At the Rainbow’s End

12 Sep

The rainbow over your head

Is fading

The pot of gold

In empty

My legs are weary

My thoughts leave me

Lying low

Wondering

Wandering

My path has broken

Three roads stand before me

I only want to sleep

Tomorrow, travel the way the wind blows

Or the rail that dreams show

Give me your own sign

So that I might know

You still live in the center

Weather leaves little time

For waiting

Was it luck that your love blew

Me in the right direction

Chapter 2 – Marrige: If you can’t spell it, you shouldn’t do it!

12 Sep

Marriage proposals

Over beer and rock-n-roll

Don’t want to go

Home on

His wedding night

Driving me sober

From insanity’s grip

Or was it hers?

Confusion

Calls me

Long distance

On the shore of an ocean

Never seen

By me

I’ll take a boat someday

Into the safety of a

Lover from my past

Part of my future

Depending on the waves

That carry me

Not all made of water

Chapter 2 – The Market Place

12 Sep

Strawberry stained

Summer rain

A gypsy woman asks my name

“your future” she says

“for a fee”

All I have is the twenty marks

She asks of me

Wearing her wealth in fine and weighty

Layers

She never minded that I could not speak

Her language

In her dark hands she held mine and

Read the story on my palm

My destiny

“Autumn approaches and soon

Her leaves will cover the ground

From this land, you must be gone

For what I say is true –

If you stay in one place too long

Autumn’s leaves will cover you!”

Chapter 2 – Yours and Mine

7 Sep

Dark mysterious man

Throwing midnight glances

Through the air

That cut like swords

Through the skin

So white it glows

Next to your brave color

Light is absorbed and reflected

By these bodies

Yours and mine

Shine from silk

And fine fur

Never to be purchased or owned

Chapter 2 – Sweet Artillery

7 Sep

She looks like a cactus

Hard and harmful

She feels like a teddy bear

Soft and plentiful

Her glance will cut you in half

While her lips sew you back

She walks and she runs

From danger

She is no foolish lover

No stranger

Her distance will disarm you

Her wit will hand you guns

No harm shall come

To the man who is given

And carries

Her weapons

For she does not give of them freely

As she does her tired heart

From the man she promises her protection

This girl shall never part

Chapter 2 – A Week of Me

7 Sep

Sunday

It was dark

No one came out to play

Monday

It was snowing

At home we will stay

Tuesday

Lessons to learn

You are far away

Wednesday

Back to Rixuland

For fun and games

Thursday

Pizza at the asshole club

For my drinks, who will pay?

Friday

Prepare for tomorrow

Another weekend day

Saturday

No letters to send

None received

I love you, see you soon

Is what I used to say

Chapter 2 – Last Curtain Call

6 Sep

Opening fleshy curtains

To expose

To let the light seep through

Tasting familiar colors

Rusted metal blades

Tear stained pillows

No soap can wash away

Sleep beside my love

I fear for my sanity

Purple rushes of you

Encase me in vampire’s coffin

Keep me safe from cruel light

My skin is no curtain

And my blood far from sunshine

Forgive me for these sad metaphors

Take me home

Away! Away!

The velvet curtain of the stage is falling

This is the end of a tragic play
