Chapter 2 – Yours and Mine

7 Sep

Dark mysterious man

Throwing midnight glances

Through the air

That cut like swords

Through the skin

So white it glows

Next to your brave color

Light is absorbed and reflected

By these bodies

Yours and mine

Shine from silk

And fine fur

Never to be purchased or owned

Chapter 2 – Last Curtain Call

6 Sep

Opening fleshy curtains

To expose

To let the light seep through

Tasting familiar colors

Rusted metal blades

Tear stained pillows

No soap can wash away

Sleep beside my love

I fear for my sanity

Purple rushes of you

Encase me in vampire’s coffin

Keep me safe from cruel light

My skin is no curtain

And my blood far from sunshine

Forgive me for these sad metaphors

Take me home

Away! Away!

The velvet curtain of the stage is falling

This is the end of a tragic play

Chapter 2 – For Babies

1 Aug

Today I realized what an incredible miracle your life will be. I gasped in amazement at the thought of your birth. You are not yet tangible and yet you have filled your mother’s belly with your presence. I can’t wait to meet you, child of light and love. Your life will be one of laughter and learning and imagination and will in turn give life to those around you.

Chapter 1 – Judgment

18 May

Knowledge is a shaft of light

Breaking through the cracks

Of dungeon walls

For a time in reach

Then dissolving

As the bits of dust within that light

Our bodily concatenations

Impinging upward toward truth

Motion of mind

Hot coals underfoot

A wise man rules over phantoms

For fairdom

Nutritive soul, airy appetite

Waxing worldly worries

Truth is the shadow, the echo a memory

Yet the wax remains

From underworld’s darkness

As extended

And known into judgment.
