Call for Help

4 Oct

You just barged in

On my glass-faced

50’ bamboo shoot

With permission from

Your uncle, the baker

Closed down up top

Schools out

Foods on, the table

Turned legs up

For liberty

You sat in on my sit in

Trampled my tiles

With your horse feet

Cut up besides

Boracho barbers

I can hear the chewing

In my sleep

How to be Free

2 Oct

Come closer

I want to tell you a story

Shhhh….

Listen….

Can you hear me through the din

Within?

I want to tell you how easy it is

To be free

I want you to know
that loneliness is a myth

That happiness is your birthright

That your destiny

Is death

And that I am just like you

And you are just like me

And it’s just that easy

Close your eyes with me

For just a moment

Can you see clearly now?

I want to show you something

Very important

Look inside.

You already know everything

You need to know.

Just listen.

There is nothing you can say that hasn’t already been said. Nothing to write that isn’t already written.

Truth is only waiting to be proven.

Outside the infinite confines of your mind

A galaxy folds back the sheets

And crawls into a lintless bed

Shhhh… Listen.

Chapter 3 – The Sweetest Satire

26 Sep

Flora

The fawn of devilish childish

Absolut-shunn(ed)

I’ll not return to this

Demolition

Alas, I am at the mercy

Of my own hand

Having removed myself from the game

Ignoble in my cause

Now facing defeat, I give in

Conspicuous shudders of revolt

They’ll not shut me down

Not to sufferance nor shame

They’ll never make me sleep

I shall sever such sadism with

The sweetest satire

Chapter 3 – Superfluous Superman

15 Sep

We need you

In these violent times

It seems there is no crime

We won’t do

All the pushers in their prison cells

Are doing business on the phone

Mail order clerks get busy with the works

And mother is crying herself to sleep at home

Out tee-vees show us real life scenes

Of death at dinner time

Slop in the trough for cops and

Robbers for dessert

How fine

Come quickly

For summer season comes early

To our city and the best prime

Time slots go almost as fast

As the redhead on the corner

Chapter 2 – At the Rainbow’s End

12 Sep

The rainbow over your head

Is fading

The pot of gold

In empty

My legs are weary

My thoughts leave me

Lying low

Wondering

Wandering

My path has broken

Three roads stand before me

I only want to sleep

Tomorrow, travel the way the wind blows

Or the rail that dreams show

Give me your own sign

So that I might know

You still live in the center

Weather leaves little time

For waiting

Was it luck that your love blew

Me in the right direction

Chapter 2 – Last Curtain Call

6 Sep

Opening fleshy curtains

To expose

To let the light seep through

Tasting familiar colors

Rusted metal blades

Tear stained pillows

No soap can wash away

Sleep beside my love

I fear for my sanity

Purple rushes of you

Encase me in vampire’s coffin

Keep me safe from cruel light

My skin is no curtain

And my blood far from sunshine

Forgive me for these sad metaphors

Take me home

Away! Away!

The velvet curtain of the stage is falling

This is the end of a tragic play

Chapter 2 – It is Done

8 Aug

Irish dancing tunes

Surround my bed,

My house, my head

We are all laughing

As the skin peels

From my face and neck

Lovers are bitter

Above me

A young man lies

Below me

Kittens sleep

Beside me

My eyes are heavy

With sleepy thoughts

My hands are yet weak

From the strain of today

In the darkness

A single demon dances

Leading me

To an open door

Number three

Still more

Number four

Number one

It is done
